Alex Sychuk is an emerging illustrator, graphic designer, and artist, currently pursuing a degree in Visual Communication Design at the University of Alberta with a focus in the Social Sciences. She has worked on projects for clients such as CJSR, McGill University's Linguistics Association, Crossings: An Undergraduate Arts Magazine, and the University of Alberta. Her practice as an illustrator and designer seeks to provide clients with visually distinct and highly curated work that can better facilitate communication and provide a sense of identity, reflecting a very keen sense of detailed craftsmanship through layout design, brand identities, and experiential work. She has also compiled a personal body of work in illustration, printmaking, ceramics, and graphic design that reflect her own interests, some of which include folk art, liminal spaces, the natural world, horror and the unknown, and collections of mundane and kitschy objects.
